Great Plains Telehealth Resource and Assistance Center
The Great Plains Telehealth Resource and Assistance Center (GPTRAC) assists rural health care providers, facilities, and organizations within the region and around the nation in order to better utilize and implement telehealth technology. Our goal is to encourage improved health care access and quality of service by fostering enhanced telehealth service functionality and availability.
GPTRAC is a resource for those just beginning their telehealth program development as well as those looking to add new telehealth-related services. We will help you work through the challenges impacting the development of telehealth applications, projects and programs.
University Partnership for Health Informatics
The University Partnership for Health Informatics (UP-HI) has been created to educate new health professionals who can assist in the transition from paper to digital records - in the form of patients' electronic health records, prescriptions, best treatments/therapies and more. UP-HI members include the University of Minnesota Twin Cities, College of St. Scholastica and the University of Minnesota-Crookston. The consortium will educate Health Informatics professionals in six different specialties that take 6-24 months to complete with the aim of transformational improvement in the quality, safety, outcomes, and thus, the value of health services in the United States.

Research spans the spectrum from basic to translational research. Moving along this spectrum, we encounter IHI researchers who perform the basic science of DNA sequencing; researchers concentrating on knowledge and data representation; and researchers pursuing more translational research endeavors, such as in-clinic needs analyses and addressing the challenges of implementing electronic health records.
