Core Faculty:
The Core Faculty is the governing body of the IHI. As a whole, the Core Faculty is responsible for ensuring that the IHI offers state of the science academic programs, maintains research excellence, and is engaged in informatics-related professional activities. Members of the Core Faculty are responsible for leading research, advising, serving on student committees, developing and teaching courses, and being active participants in national professional biomedical and health informatics associations.

The Graduate Faculty has primary responsibility for all academic aspects of the program. Members of the Graduate Faculty teach courses, advise, serve on student committees, review applications and student progress, and recommend curriculum changes.

Staff:
The Institute for Health Informatics (IHI) is an interdisciplinary institute in the Academic Health Center. The faculty is comprised of a diverse array of leaders from academia (University of Minnesota), the health care community (Mayo Clinic, Fairview Health Services) and other community partners including the Minnesota Department of Health.
