Core Faculty:

The Core Faculty is the governing body of the IHI. As a whole, the Core Faculty is responsible for ensuring that the IHI offers state of the science academic programs, maintains research excellence, and is engaged in informatics-related professional activities. Members of the Core Faculty are responsible for leading research, advising, serving on student committees, developing and teaching courses, and being active participants in national professional biomedical and health informatics associations.

Affiliate Faculty members are committed to serving the IHI in at least one of the following areas: participating in research, guest lecturing or leading class discussions, supervising internships and externships, and being willing to serve on student committees.

The Institute for Health Informatics (IHI) is an interdisciplinary institute in the Academic Health Center. The faculty is comprised of a diverse array of leaders from academia (University of Minnesota), the health care community (Mayo Clinic, Fairview Health Services) and other community partners including the Minnesota Department of Health.
